On Monday, August 21st, we experienced the Great American Solar Eclipse 2017. While here, just north of Chicago, we didn’t experience totality, and the peak of the event was marred by cloud cover, I was privileged to be part of an event that eclipsed the eclipse for my family. That event was the proposal/engagement of my cousin Rachel and her man, Jason. Through months of planning and scheming, we (Jason) managed to pull of the surprise at the eclipse viewing party at Rachel’s school, where she is an Assistant Principal. Here are a few moments from that afternoon. Click on any image to embiggen.

Are you available on weekends?
Yes, I’m available on both Saturdays and Sundays. I am also available during the week.
Where do the mini sessions take place?
I have a variety of outdoor locations that will make a perfect setting for your photos. When you contact me to book your mini session, we will discuss what location works best for you.
If I choose the digital option, can I print photos anywhere I’d like?
Yes. Along with your digital files on a CD, you will receive a print release form. The files you will receive may be printed up to size 5×7 at a lab of your choosing (Walgreens, Sam’s Club, Costco, etc.).
What file format are the digital images?
The digital images are in JPEG (JPG) format.
Can I use the digital files to print my own holiday cards?
If I choose to receive 50 cards, but need more than that, can I order more?
How many people can I have in my photos?
The mini sessions are set up for your immediate family of up to 6 people. Is your family larger than that? Just call me and we can discuss options.
I have another question not addressed here. How can I get more information?
Call me at 847.722.4402, or use the Contact form.
I had the pleasure of photographing this young man’s senior portraits. He was a natural. Seriously. Just look at these pics! Oh, and click a pic to open the slideshow viewer (bigger and better pics).
You asked, and we heard you! We’ve simplified all of our session pricing. All session fees now include a credit towards your print order. We’ve also added Baby Plan packages to make it even easier to capture your baby’s incredible first year.
It’s no secret that this blog is primarily about promoting my own business, but I read a post from another photographer today that I just have to share. Besides – she’s in California, so it’s not like she’s “the competition” or anything. 🙂 Whether you’re pregnant and considering hiring a professional newborn photographer (ahem, like me), or a newborn photographer yourself, or both, do yourself a favor and read this blog post by Cathy Murai:
I continue to add to my photography training/education every chance I get. This week, it will be through a Creative Live workshop: The Art of Pregnancy & Newborn Photography with Ana Brandt. I’ve learned from Ana before, and she’s simply amazing.
I know I’ll be itching to capture more babies as soon as the workshop is over. So, if you’re expecting, don’t wait until the last minute to schedule a newborn session. In fact, if you book a maternity session with me, you’ll get a $50 credit towards your newborn session! Contact me here or on Facebook.
